This study abroad program relies on its
partner schools to evaluate prospective students' eligibility
for the program. Students from those partner institutions
can obtain complete information about application and fees
from their study abroad office. Students from non-partner
institutions can apply directly to the program according to
the following guidelines.
Application
Requirements:
1. Fill out an application form (see below).
2. A recommendation letter.
3. An official transcript.
4. GPA 3.0 and above.
5. Prerequisite for Immersion Chinese (fall/spring semester): two semesters of Chinese or equivalent.
6. Application fee $50 (check) payable to the Beijing Institute
of Asian StudiesŁ¬30 Wellesley, Irvine, CA 92612.
7. A deposit of $1,000 for full time internship after acceptance.
Application
Deadlines:
1. Fall Semester: June 1.
2. Spring Semester: November 15.
3. Summer: April 30.
4. Summer Internship: April 1.
Fees
and Method of Payment:
1. Fall Semester: $11,450.
2. Spring Semester: $11,450.
3. Second Semester: $10,450.
* These fees include tuition for all courses,housing, 2 weeks travel around China, student activities and excursions in and around Beijing.
* International airfare, health insurance, food and books
are responsibilities of students.
4. Summer Language: $4,500.
*The fees include tuition, housing, student activities and domestic travel.
5. Summer Internship: $3,500. (This includes the $1,000 deposit)
*The fees include internship arrangement, housing, Friday seminar and excursions in and around Beijing.
6. Full Time Semester Internship: $5,000.
*The fees include tuition, housing, seminar, activities and excursions.
Students from partner institutions should arrange payments
through their own schools at the beginning of the semester.
Others can make checks payable to the Beijing Institute of Asian
Studies, 30 Wellesley, Irvine, CA 92612
Application
Form:
You can fill out the online
application form. The host institution
will issue our program participants a ˇ°JW 202ˇ± form, which
is needed to apply for student visas. It is the responsibility
of the students to secure a visa in a timely manner.
